Summer Tips 101
Few of My favorite things to do and Wear this Summer:
Drink Alot of Water
Water fills us up without adding any
calories.
Dehydration will degrade a person’s ability to exercise and
burn calories.
Dehydration will reduce protein synthesis which is needed to
build or repair muscles.
Wear Sunglasses
A good pair of sunglasses with UV protection helps prevent corneal sunburn, and it’s especially important to wear eye protection when using a tanning machine or while skiing.
Write in a journal.
This will help you keep up on your writing skills for school, too. Write down words that you like, poems, song lyrics, what happened during basketball practice, anything you want! Keep it under your mattress if you want to keep it private; this only works if you step up and change your own sheets. And most importantly, write in it everyday; maybe wait to look at the previous pages until the very end of summer, when it should be all full.
Go places!
Go to the mall, the beach, the library, ride a bike, or hang out with a group of friends. You can also have a party or sleepover if you're allowed. Now you don't have to worry about your parents saying, "No, because it's a school night."
Relax!
Summer doesn't have to be fun and games. It can also be a time for resting your brain after all that hard work at school. Go ahead; sleep in if you want. Watch some television, walk around in your bare feet,,, just whatever puts you in a calm mood
Sock Up
Summer sandals and flip-flops can wreak havoc on your soles. Keeps the heels soft
by pulling on moisturizing socks for 15 minutes before bed. Coated with
special ingredients, they fight calluses so you can avoid more
aggressive scrubbing later.
Wear a Hat
Be stylish and smart by popping on a floppy topper before heading out to your cabana. The style feels old-school glam, but has the added nicety of covering up your ears and hairline should you forget to reapply sunscreen as often as you should.
